We recently visited Restaurant Yard and were impressed by its modern and stylish decor. The ambiance was lively with a hip vibe, complemented by great music in the style of jazz legends like Tony Bennett and Michael Buble. The staff greeted us warmly, which set a positive tone initially. However, while the dishes were unique and creative, aiming to stand out, this unfortunately came at the expense of quality. The food tasted good, but there were notable issues: the meat was not cooked properly, and the appetizer, a flat risotto, looked beautiful but became cold very quickly. The wine recommended by the staff was just okay, and the advice given wasn't very thorough. Considering the high prices, the value for money was quite disappointing. The restaurant aspires to a Michelin star level, but in my opinion, it does not meet that standard. The setting, decor, and music were definite highlights of the experience. However, I wouldn't recommend Restaurant Yard given the current pricing and quality of the dishes. Moreover, the service had several shortcomings. The staff's English proficiency was poor, leading to frequent misunderstandings. Our food was often cleared away too quickly, and there were other instances of inattentive service that detracted from the overall experience. In conclusion, while Restaurant Yard has potential, significant improvements in food quality and service are necessary to justify its high prices and to deliver a more pleasant dining experience.
